God bless you Gerald!!!! Psalm 139:14-17 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! Kennde

Gerald! I knew when Lynita first called me that you were in God's almighty hands. You put everyone in the state of peace because you were in peace. So When you publish the book and appear on Oprah for the book club selection can you get me a ticket?!?!??

I can't wait for Bible Study to start again 9/12 so I can pass your website to all the members of Min. Pearson's class. We kept you lifted in prayer the whole time. All said they wanted a praise report in September. Boy do I have one to give! So you know the old NEP crew needs to get out on the boat again so Gwen can get "saved" again. Just know I miss all of you. Just think I was mad at you for not coming to NJ. God had a better plan already in the works. You were supposed to be in TX so that everyone would see his hand in it. Hug everyone for me. One day I will make it out to TX to check up on you.

Gerald, Connie left a page of your blog "Gerald's Medical Miracle" on my door, as I read it then looked up the rest of the article I was overwhelmed. Just two weeks ago I received information that Greg Sereda ( graduated from Miami Central in 1970 or 1971) was in a hospital in New Jersey. He had just been operated on for a brain tumor which was discovered in June or July. Your life affirming testimonial is truly a gift from God. I am getting ready to call him and read him parts of your experience. Life is truly a wonderful experience and with our faith in God it is all the more so. my prayers are with you, Peacefully yours, Cheryl Cook (your high school chemistry teacher)

Praise God

Your faith was so overwhelming that tears came down easily.  I don't know you

though through your story I certainly know the faith you have in God.

Dr. Albert Lee is a special man to me.  He and my daughter were about to marry and

set up house in Dallas when on September 27, 2006, she was taken home by our

precious Lord and Savior after being struck by a drunk driver!  This was very

difficult for Dr. Lee and I know he considered not being able to continue at

Parkland, but God knew you were coming and kept him there.

He sent me your web site and I know how much your faith has meant to him. He has joined my Dallas family and I pray that he will meet more people of FAITH as you.

May God continue to bless you and your family and may you always continue to be an

inspiration to others.  It was my pleasure to read and cry tears of joy for your

unfailing faith. I would love to hear from you, when you have time  Many Hugs!

Comments:

Bless you, Brother Gerald, for sharing your story of faith.
I, too, was faced with a faith trial. I was at home and started to have heart
palpitations. I woke my husband and explained to him what was going on with me. He
immediately got out of bed to take me to the ER. I had begun sweating. But all the while
I was praying - a prayer of praise and thanksgiving. I felt like Paul - I gloried in my
affliction, knowing that God was in control.
I did not understand how or why this was going on. I was admitted to the hospital for
tests. They found nothing wrong with my heart, except to say that my heart had jumped
rhythm (atro-fibrillation). It started that Monday night around 11pm but by Tuesday
afternoon, it went back into regular rhythm. The doctors seemed baffled as to why it
jumped out and back in. But God had whispered in my ear "this is not for you!"
The Lord and I had a "heart to heart" talk. He could have used anyone else to
get a message across but He chose me because I was able to withstand and trusted in Him
implicitly! I opened up to him through my praise, prayer and testimony. While I was
there, I ministered to the staff and my church members and assured them I was not afraid.
God knows my heart better than anyone and will not put more on me than I can bear. God
has searched and know my thoughts as well, knowing my uprising and lying down.
I was in the hospital for tests from Monday night until Thursday evening. I had witnessed
to my family and friends that I would be released before Friday. My stay was blessed with
angels that God encamped around me.
God is awesome! He is EL SHADDAI!

serve. You refused to worry or fret. Phil 4:6 states be careful for nothing; but in
EVERYTHING by prayer supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto
God...You took a stand determined no matter what the situation, circumstance or problem
you stood your ground. God is with you.. May God continue you keep you and bless you is

ISAIAH 55:6-11

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return
unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly
pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and
my thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but
watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the
sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I
sent it.

Subject:  My mother re-connected me with Christ

Comments:

I could write this story as a novel, however will get right to the point.  My mother was
the life of the family, the true melting pot of America.  Italian Mom & Scottish Dad.  It
started in NY city during the good old days.  Dad worked hard, and Mom even harder.  They
moved the four of us kids to Texas in 1970.  Two girls and two boys, me the youngest.
School, sports, vacations in the blue bomb all over the country. (Chevy Chase comes to
mind)  Was it a Norman Rockwell life?  No!  The garden was not just a hobby, however a
source of life.  Dad taught us that it was a necessity to make ends meet.  He always said
that he wanted it to become a “Passion”.

Then the four had more,  and the grand children graced Mom & Dad with much more love.
Family, holidays, anytime BBQ's, make pasta and even put on Kilts and listen to bagpipes.
It was time together,  and weekends was what we lived for.  Christmas?  Oh you better
look out, because that was the time of year when Mom spun like top……..

I remember my first Christmas away from it all.   I was sitting under a tree, in the
Panama rain, after my best friend was killed.   I was smoking a cig under the cover of my
bonnie hat like a true Green Beret.  Sleep would be letting the bad guys do what they
wanted with you.   Next was 120 degrees in the sand, fighting for four days on a Dam in
Iraq that CNN did not cover until two years later.  Four days and five nights dodging
bullets in tunnels on Christmas eve.

Back at the base the stack of letters from Mom should have been a welcome, however, I did
not feel like reading them.  Too tired, bummed out, and mad at God for taking the lives of
12 of my friends.

Let’s fast forward  ten years later.  Back home, wonderful wife Rochelle, great job,
hanging out at the church with my buddy’s, going through the motions.

MOM is sick,  what??????   Mom is real sick,    Cancer………………………………………….  No way…….

Two years later we lay her to rest……………………

A quiet day with Dad at the old house.  Dad slowly said,  “Mike, come with me”      I sat
with Dad and we opened Mom’s Bible.  In all the pages there must have been hundreds of
little notes with prayers that she wrote for over 50 years.    That day I opened the
letters I did not ten years ago and in them were prayers, and words of comfort that could
have changed my life.

Most would have regrets, I however know that God  has always had a plan for me.   He has
a plan for all and the lesson I learned from these 40 years is this.

Faith & Trust in God.   No matter what!  Believe me I know what the what is……   I have
found a true window to having a relationship with God, Hill Country Bible has been the
beginning of my new journey to the life changing reality of Jesus Christ in my heart.

P.S.  I love to make things Grow in the Garden,  It’s my Passion…….

Thank you, Gerald for your website, I needed to be reminded of where my health blessings
come and to not allow doubt to diminish my faith in the power of God, your website, your
story, although a little long, because I'm more tired, mentally, then physically;
nevertheless helped bring me a sense of inner peace that I need. I'm getting off work
now, Gerald.  I'm shutting down, I'm awed at how God uses people like yourself to help us
recognize  and remember that faith is belief and we should now allow our selves to remove
the period from the end of our prayer(s) we've placed in the hands of our heavenly
Father.  I'm now stopping my pity party now, I'm gonna ease my mind.  May the kind of
Peace only God can bring, remain within you and your family, Gerald.

Comments:

I am so glad you shared this story with other readers. Continue to work for the building
up of His kingdom. My story is not related to yours, but the message is the same. Thank
You Lord! I understand. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, for if I am saved by
grace, walk in faith, speak the things as though they were, then I am pressing forward
for a greater purpose.
My youngest son Savion was born at 5 1/2 months. He weighed only a pound. He was a
fighter from the very beginning. I knew God was with me and my son would be fine. No
matter what the doctors told me, I refused it and held to my faith and steady praying.
Most of the nurses must have thought I was crazy because each time they called to tell me
some bad news, I'd tell them, Oh he'll be fine, this is just one of those rough times.
They even sent a Special Service Nurse to help me prepare Savion for WHAT THEY believed
would be a life of machines and special needs. I refused them all and told them he would
be raised like a normal child requiring very little assistance. Savion graduated high
school in regular education and is attending a Community College here. He knows the
battle with his life and knows God delivered him for a purpose. Your story needed to be
told so that people would understand there is a greater power within us. The Power of God
and the comforter. Be Blessed.

It is an awesome thing to know that God is always aware of our nature and only the Holy
Ghost is able to stop us in our tracks when we might easily go off and do whatever is in
our desperately wicked hearts. Our Abigail is the Holy Spirit and as we walk with Jesus
we should be learning how to listen to Him..we need this because it is His voice that
will calm us and empower us when the worst of our flesh nature wants to rise up!!!

Comments:

My dear brother Gerald, love is overwhelming me now, at this moment. I so cherish the
time we had when I was in Texas. Thank you for sharing a bit of your life with me. Be not
afraid to speak of God's deepest mysteries as revealed to you, my friend.

We Christians live in a world, and a country, facing the righteous judgment of God for
our wickedness: over 40,000,000 aborted children, homosexual marriage, gay clergy, a
carnal church, a paid-speaker priesthood that rule their flocks, and serving our own
selfish ends of a comfortable life rather than being of service to Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:16
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Brothers and sisters, I ask you, Where is your holiness?

Your confidence in how God speaks to you amazes me. Psalm 27:3 states,

"Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident."

The Heart Matters blog that you posted reminded me to keep a soft heart. Ezekiel 11,
verse 19 and 20 also deals with the heart of stone. How powerful this statement truly is!

"I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove
from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my
decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people and I will be their
God."
